Do you want to have a perfect skin? This article will show you how.
First cleanse your skin with a cleanser to remove makeup, dirt and grime.
Before applying any skincare routine start with facial cleansing. This will remove makeup, dirt and grime from the skin with a gentle product. The cleanser you use should be gentle and it’s important not to rub too hard when applying as this can cause irritation and inflammation. Make sure you avoid using hot water on your face as this will dry out the skin and is unnecessary. You can use your hands or a cloth to apply your cleanser but keep in mind that a cloth will exfoliate the skin slightly so if you have sensitive skin it’s better to stick to using just your fingers.
Next tone with a toner to balance out your skin’s pH levels.
Toner is a liquid-based formula designed to balance pH levels, remove excess impurities, and prep the skin for treatment. Toners are very important when it comes to achieving the perfect skincare routine. They’re able to unclog pores, minimize breakouts and irritation.
Toners can come in different forms such as gel or liquid. You can choose what works best for your needs or your skin type; however, you may have to try out several before finding the one that works best for your skin.
After cleansing your face, apply toner with a cotton ball or pad using an upward motion (to avoid dragging down on the delicate skin of your face). You can choose how many times per day you want to apply toner—some people use it twice a day, others just once—once in the morning and once at night after cleansing their faces.
Amarrie Brightening & Glow Vitamin C Toner
Amarrie Brightening and Glow Vitamin C Toner is an alcohol-free formulation to cleanse and soften skin. Containing Vitamin C, it can achieve whitening from the inside out, while various rich plant extracts give your skin a smoother complexion and healthy glow.
Apply an eye cream to awaken the eye area, brighten dark circles and diminish puffiness.
An eye cream is a must in your skincare routine as the skin around our eyes is thinner than the rest of our face and can quickly show signs of fatigue, dryness or puffiness. An eye cream can provide much-needed hydration, improve elasticity and smooth fine lines. It’s best to apply an eye cream in the morning after cleansing and before applying your moisturizer and sunscreen.
When buying an eye cream it’s best to choose one that’s formulated for your skin type:
If you have sensitive skin, look for an anti-aging eye cream with soothing ingredients like aloe or chamomile.
For dry skin, try an anti-aging eye cream with hyaluronic acid which will plump up the area around your eyes.
For oily skin, look for an anti-aging eye creams containing Vitamin C which will brighten the under-eye area while also improving firmness.
If you are looking for natural alternatives to commercial products, try applying used teabags or cucumber slices on each closed eyelid (15 minutes). This will refresh your eyes and reduce swelling!
Follow with a serum that’s formulated to target your specific skin concerns (acne, anti-aging, dryness etc.) and leave it on for about 20 minutes or so. This will give the ingredients time to absorb into the skin and get to work!
This step is probably the most “for you,” because not every serum is created equal. Some serums are geared towards targeting hyperpigmentation, while others are formulated to help with acne or dryness. These products tend to be pricier than moisturizers, since they deliver highly concentrated active ingredients into the skin (the reason why we tend to apply moisturizer after serum is to lock that goodness in).
You’ll want to give your serum about 20 minutes or so before applying your moisturizer and makeup — this will give the ingredients time to absorb into the skin and get to work!
After allowing the serum to fully absorb into the skin, apply a moisturizer and give it some time to fully sink in as well.
Once you have a cleanser and moisturizer picked out, it’s time to add in some extra steps. An eye cream can be used every morning and night. The skin around your eyes is thinner than the rest of your face and doesn’t produce as much oil, so it needs more hydration.
If you’re looking for an anti-aging boost, use a serum at least once a day. Serums are beneficial for the penetration of active ingredients into the skin. If you have dull-looking skin or hyperpigmentation from sun damage or acne scarring, I recommend using an active vitamin C product in your routine a few times a week. See next step for more information on that!
Finally, if you want a more intensive treatment, apply a face mask at night before bed. The face mask should stay on for at least 15 minutes but no more than 30 minutes. If you have any excess product left over after removing the mask, use it on your neck and chest!
